One great way to preserve mushrooms is by par-cooking them and storing them in the freezer.
So for these morel mushrooms, I'm going to chop them up. Go ahead and heat up a saute pan. You can add oil if you want...sometimes I'll add a little salt & pepper as well.
Par-cook them, because you'll be finishing the cooking process later when you thaw them out. Fill a pint jar with them.
I like to cover them with olive oil, which will help to prevent freezer burn. You want to label them. Store them in your freezer, and they'll be good to go for up to six months.
